In honor of *** Cancer awareness month I have to make mention of my Mother....with a capital "M".  I've written many articles about my Mom.  As a teen our relationship was as many moms and their daughters....rocky at best.  But as an adult it was wonderful. Once I became a mother the light bulb came on and the aha moment hit.  Motherhood is a hard job on a good day and a challenge on most others.  My Mom fought the "C" for 11 years.  She never gave up or gave in.  She always said she didn't have time to die.  To the end she was the ultimate giver donating her body to science so someone or someones could learn from her misfortune.  Not a day goes by that our family doesn't think of her or say, "wish Grandma was here."  Let's find a cure for *** cancer and with this thought I say, "wish my Mom was here."
